Lol yup, it's kept right next to the coke cola recipe.
I actually do a 4 step seal process to ensure no gaps/holes which can cause leaks. One of the sealants steps I created myself and it can't be bought anywhere. Basically need glue and make sure it's sealed, I've seen things used from hit glue gun to superglue.

yeah, you should see some of the stuff I have seen. And yes, a glue gun lol. On a side note the taillight will still "stay together" because the screws holding the back pull the bezel to it which is in the front glass...so technically is "worked" but not for long.
i used a glue gun when i did mine, i only used it on the chrome strip that goes across the diffuser. When you clip the back "nipples" i used the glue gun there to hold it back in place.

Bad thing with that is that on a hot day, it gets hot enough in there to melt the glue and it'll run down the inside of the diffuser. Just use it sparingly.
Just curious. I have done multiple retrofits on other cars but only with headlights. Never done anything with a tail light. I have an extra set of tail lights laying around so I'm going to mess with them.

soon, soon. very soon. like next week shipment date soon.
just installed these for a customer. He had DEPO headlights and when removed, they literally were dripping water out and the halos were faulty.
We found him a set of OEM headlights/installed supplied halos and my custom wiring harness for the halos to have a switch for them. Blacked out V2 with carbon fiber sides and ZKW-R lens:

Hey Bruce, do you know what Halo these headlights have? I know you said supplied halo's. I've been looking for a better looking halo like the BMW's. I found a new design halo from TRD that look unique and are l.e.d. but you cannot see each individual light. Here's a link: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...ducts_id=14906. I'm need to get my lights done soon and I'm liking the quality of your work.
The only modification I's like to make to my tail lights would be to clear out the turn signal part so I could replace the bulb with an amber one. Are genuine OEM tails required to do this or can it be done to any of the aftermarket ones available?

Depo or OEM but either way, you'd need 2 sets of lights to achieve that look.
Base reds for the clear signal area...base 07 or type s for the clear outer lens.
OR, you could get the depo usr ghost ones and have bruce make the reflector/brake area red (that process we talked about Bruce) and paint bezel whatever color you want.

Thank you. Those are umnitza halos. I actually ordered those and will be installing them soon to test them out and see how they look. With something that takes time/money for the customer, I don't like recommending "new" items without them being on the market for sometime.
What MM? I ordered a set to test out, after all they are 1/4 the price of umnitza..we maybe seeing more Halo'ed TLs. lol
Hey Bruce, I was looking over this thread and I'm quite impressed. I was thinking about having you do my tails. I have an 07 NBP type-s. This is what I'm thinking as far as tail lights. I also thought I might have read somewhere that you had the a-spec kit for the type-s as well? I wanted to know if you could give me an estimate on the lights and the front a-spec lip? PM would be great, thank you sir!

BTW everyone:
I sent in a set of diffusers to get a mold..so i will be installing/offering/selling all clear diffusers like the ones in the TYPE-S headlights soon...Depending upon mold price/sets ordered, they will be somewhere around $80-$110 a set. i will be shooting for the $90 price..

FYI, TRS sent out an email about the Morimoto LED halos... They should be in stock July 3rd. They did attempt to make amends for the delay. Although I don't really need to buy anything else from there... Lol
Hello all Acura nation.. I wanted to know if Acura tL type s parts fit on a regular TL type. I am referring to body parts, fenders, doors, interior, truck lid, bumpers, etc.. Help will be greatly appreciated.. Third generation model 06-08
Not the best thread to post this question in, but yeah, most parts from the 07/08 TL-S and TL are interchangeable like, bumpers (excluding rear, unless you want to do quads) doors, trunk lid, A-Spec parts, exhaust, most interior parts. Not as many things will fit with an 04-06TL. What exactly are you looking to swap? BTW, Bruce fantastic work sir!

Well, a search would be a good start.
Then, if anything, the problems and fixes 3G section. Not individual threads (you've posted this in a few threads that are not related).

customer back out and I have a set of these

. Brand new. They were $130 shipped, i would take $115 shipped, or I can install them...look like this on the 04-06 or 07-08 as I just made for customers.

i also have these for sale: I worked out a deal for this customer who purchased these on a new set and took these back on trade, $350 plus shipping. Rare CDM tail lights, carbon fiber bottom, black bezel with lightly smoked internals.

When you say "rare"...what exactly do you mean?

Nice work, man...I dig the clear diffuser, if you hadn't sold me the oem type s ones, I'd likely be interested! It really finishes off the clear cleared look. Austin should buy these, he's been itching for clear diffusers.

Oh man! Those are sick! Very tempted ...

I knew there was a secret behind your skill, just couldn't remember the exact ingredients.
