Would it be possible to remove the orange reflectors from the type-s diffuser?

I made that post when the kit first came out, one of the members bought it and we tried installing it but it was a complete failure. Seems like the company mixed and matched the rings and made the kit, both halos dont fit.

 

My 2006 headlights are already particially black inside, is this how they look OEM ?

Yeah JD TL-S the pictured you posted up are the OEM lights. Usually when you black them out, you get that chrome part inside of them painted black. (section in front of the bulbs)

I have sent out PMs to people that are on the list stating that I still havent gotten anyone's CCFLs and ZKW replica lenses (if applicable). The sooner that I get your parts the sooner your headlights will get done.



Also, I have been repeatedly asked if I'd do a headlight swap with older styled headlights for the new ones, simply put the answer is no. I dont have an unlimited supply of headlights so headlight trade in for the same year headlight rather than different years i.e. I am not offering 07-08 headlights for 04-05 or even 06 models.

 

I cant wait for my lights to show up. So simple and clean. Deposit sent.

so the s2000 projector lenses are the best? or is there something clearer and better? and will the s2000 fit perectly?

Hey JnC - just PM'd ya - I'm just looking to get CCFL's from umnitza's site. I don't need anything changed w/the housing. Maybe the ZKW lenses. I would send you my 07 TL-s headlights.

 

Has anyone connected their CCFL's to their DRL line? In other words, has any used the CCFL's as a replacement to using DRL's? Can the CCFL's be left on, when the headlights are turned on?

 

^^ DRLs are powered by a 6.4V power source rather than a 12V standard source, so inline wouldnt work as it will damage the CCFL ballasts. Most people wire a stand alone switch for the CCFLs to run them whenever needed independent of the low beam or parking light. A few members have also tapped into the parking light power supply to power the CCFLs.

Is there any way to remove this section from behind the amber reflector?
Looks like two slots where the amber sit in, you can see it on the bottom headlight on the far right.

 

I have an '05 TL interested in a blackout swap! Also would like 8000k bulbs and 10000k highbeam swap. i dont have any parts need so it would be wonderful if you could help.

The whole piece is basically plastic so it can be shaved off, I have done that in the past with some of the headlights that I install Carbon Fiber on, you can shave it and paint it but there is no way to shave it and keep the chrome in tact .

Snake, those are LED arrays 15 on the top and 12 on the bottom, I am trying to mold them into type S diffusers to be used as side markets along with white OEM type S side markers.

 

I finished JohnBrown's set today but due to unforeseen circumstances he had withdraw his name from the list , so the set I made for him are up in BST section for trade. If someone with 07-08 base model TL wants to save $25 on the trade in charge and wants to get a set ASAP then PM me, details are in the following thread.
