The voltage to the lights are 12volts, one wire is power and the other is ground. You can check using a DVM meter. The current draw is limited by the rating on the fuses on each circuit.
The side ,third brake ligt and the rear tail/brake lights have built-in resistor circuits to bring the voltage down to each's respective level.
