I put a dent in my front bumper. It now has an 8 inch high depression on the corner (from a cement pole).

How should I approach this? Can it be repaired (popped out) or do I replace the bumper?

If I replace it, how much should I expect to pay for a bumper and to have it painted?

considering how they manufacturer bumpers now... I think that replacement what you're going to face.

Check e-bay to see if they have some half decent replacements

It says $270 and comes unpainted-so you will have to take it to a body shop for painting.

I had my TL for a few weeks and was coming into Dallas and a 18 wheeler decided to lose a tire casing. It made a loud noise so I fiqured I would spend some time cleaning it up..............I found the bumper cracked in the middle. Bottom line it cost me 700.00 to replace.....Ouch!!!!!

 

Sounds like a road hazard....you should have filed a claim with your insurance.

 

When I put my TL in the ditch with a cracked front bumper the total insurance cost was $940. The bumper was $270 as stated but paint, parts and of course labor drove up the cost. As an added benefit the fog light indicator comes on now when the headlights are on. I elected not to screw with it and let it serve as a reminder of that special day.
