Cruise Control "bump/kick"?
Monday, I drove from Orlando, FL to Virginia. I had my cruise control set to about 78 mph. Once I got to South Carolina, I started to notice an abrupt bump, kicking response in the front of the car with the cruise control on. The only other way I could describe it is applying moderate pressure to the brake for a fraction of a second. There didn't appear to be any drop in speed when this happened.
I thought uneven highway might be causing the behavior. But, after driving some pretty good stretches of smooth highway, I definitely wasn't imagining it. The car would keep doing it occasionally. Eventually I stopped paying attention to it.
I had a full nose mask on the car for the trip. Has anyone else experienced something similar with cruise control on? Could it have been the cruise control managing the car's speed or some other vehicle function that caused this? The VSA light never came on. Is it something I should have Acura look at?
