crazy encounter with a g35 earlier. i was driving normally in my city on a popular street when a g35 coupe slowly pulled up to the right of me. I slowly sped up a bit because I thought I might have been going too slow. Then I hear the g35 downshifting a gear and accelerating(not WOT). I thought he might wanted to have a go so i floored it and he does the same. at that point i could tell its a 6speed because of how the shifts sounded. he kept up with me for a second then i started walking him. the race was quick, only up to 80 then i backed off. then this guy starts following behind me even though the other lane was clearly open. we got to a redlight where the g35 rolls down his window and says to me "YO waduup!" and then some gibberish slang i didnt understand. then he turned into a small street. i was like okay, its over i guess. i went for another block, then suddenly i see him come behind me again! i was like wth! apparently he went in like a circle or something and came back. we got to another redlight where he goes "YO! race me!" he sounded pissed off so i just decided to have another go with him. we went for another mile until there were no cars then we both floored it. i still walked him, and he just keeps following behind me. i thought a race was supposed to be side by side, not one behind the other. at that point i was just like screw this, this guy is crazy. i slowed down a bit, he floored it past me, and i quickly made a turn into a small street.

i saw he had 1 guy in the passenger seat, dunno about back seats. his exhaust looked stock, and so did everything else, but still, i was surprised he didnt even keep up. i had no passengers.

 

Thats a nice kill first of all and second of all thats crazy how he was following you and all i would've of started turning and goin in circle's the instance i saw him following me lol

 

Not that surprised. I'm sure others will disagree, but I always end up finding the G35 coming up a bit short next to the TL-S.

Now, modified is a different ballgame, but if he was stock, good kill.

 

the g35 coupes only put down roughly ~230 whp (with exhaust). more drive train loss - rwd. makes sense nice kill!

Seriously though, you said you barely beat a bone stock Civic SI, yet beat a G35 6MT? That doesn't make any sense. A G35 6MT will do circles around any stock Civic SI. Sounds like a case of G35 driver error to me. But a kill is a kill, nice job

 

nice be careful I lost a friend do to street racing.

 

i had another go with the SI from a lower speed from around 20mph and i walked him i will agree the SI can do well against a tl-s from 80+ but from lower speeds the torque will destroy the SI.

the g35 driver may have been a bad driver, im not sure, all i know is he couldnt hang lol.
