Crappy Day

As if my day yesterday couldn't get worse from finding out first hand that my girlfriend of two years cheated on me and left me for a guy she met a week ago....

I got rear ended! I took pictures but I came home and collapsed in bed until I woke up this morning. I will put pics up tonight. There is a straight whole right threw the bumper, about a foot and a half of scuffed/rubbed paint and the bumper is hanging off from under the taillight.... great f*ckin day!

the main things in my life were my gf and my car, so when I lost the first one, all I had was that last... and now she's hurt

we called the cops and exchanged information, etc etc... but still i don't feel good driving her until it's fixed... im gonna see if I can get a deal for an aspec bumper... but i think that would look goofy without the aspec lip, and i just dont have the money for it right now this couldn't have come at a worse time

Question: could my trunk/rear axle be affected by this? I know it's probably hard to say without seeing it in person or with the pics.... but i any input would be great. thanks guys

Well to be honest. I am probably not going to be much of any help but.... Shit happens dude nothing you can do to prevent it. Everything in life happens for a reason maybe the thing with your gf was for the best you never know. Robert Frost once said that if he could sum up life in three words it would be it goes on. You just have to keep your head up and look at the bright things in life and be glad that you are alive, that your car isn't any worse then what happen. Girls come and go but their are plenty of fish in the sea. You are young no reason to get hung up over one girl. If anything it's her loss thats the way you have to look at it not yours. As far as your car it will be repaired sooner than later and atleast that should make you feel abit better.

ya dude there are plenty of women out there. you are way too young to be in a steady relationship anyway. you should be perusing the plentiful population of pleasantly plump-tittied PYTs!!!

as far as your car, gotta see the pics to assess the damage.

keep on truckin!!

Cheer up! Theres always sunshine after the storm. Im sure youve seen Big Daddy....remeber how Adam Sandler's original gf in the movie left him for a guy with saggy balls? Well, in the end his life turned out great, and she was stuck at hooters living the "long term plan". Things will get better! And now you can get an A-Spec bumper!

no help with the bumper questions....but as far as the g/f...she proved she is not worthy of you being a cheater. it'll hurt for a little while, but trust me...you're FAR better off finding this out now and moving on.

trust me. bookmark this thread and come back in a month or two...i can almost guarantee you'll say "wow, i AM better off!".

take care-

thanks guys, i know there is other fish in the sea, but it just stinks because its out of my control. last week i woke up next to her in the morning and she said "God I love you" and now she meets some dude, decides shes not happy with me, makes out with him and leaves me for him....

what sucks about the car is now i feel like a schlomo for driving around in it and i just dont feel good anymore. its sad.... once it gets fixed it will be good - i had some scratches in the back anyway, so thats good that Ill get a new bumper... but still - its a pain....

but yeah, at least i didnt die, and things could be worse.... but all this on the same day drains ya

thanks for the support nonetheless on both issues!

You're cetainly not the first it's happened to, and better now than later. To some the grass looks greener on the other side, but the heart has a way of mending, and after a period of time when someone mentions her name, you'll say WHO, never heard of her!

As far as the car, a competent shop will have it back to original condition, and noone will ever know that it's been in an accident. The insurance is going to pay to have it repaired, and I don't believe you'll be able to add the A-Spec without cost to you, so IMHO-Just get it back to original condition without trying to fudge with the A-Spec. Look on the bright side, maybe they will give you something flashy to drive while the TL is being repaired.

Condolences on both fronts. My advice - 1) pay whatever it takes to get the car fixed RIGHT and QUICK so that part of your life is settled and happy; and 2) NEVER let that girl come crawling back into your life, because you KNOW she will! Send her on her way when it happens.

ouch that sucks! Sorry to hear about the car and the gf (but based on what she did i'd be more upset about my car right now.. can't control what someone else does, so might as well let that go and focus on the important stuff (your car! =p)

the bonus out of all this...

you + working = money
money + gf = no money
no gf = lots of money
lots of money = more stuff for the TL

oh and
my junk = impressive.. for the record.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. With regard to the girlfriend there is not much you can do. You are right that it is out of your control and that means you will sooner or later just have to accept that these things happened, and in the process maybe by accepting this you will begin to see her in a different light - and be able to move on. Right now you're probably thinking of all the fun things you did together, etc., but the truth is you need to look at her objectively to get the clear picture of her true personality - that is what this time alone is for, in a sense...

With regard to the car my advice is to wash it, vacuum it out, maybe detail the interior, etc. The point here is that you don't feel good about the car because of the damage, but another part of you realizes that it is only temporary and that it will get fixed. In the meantime, by keeping her really clean it raises your sense of pride in the vehicle and this is something that you need right now...

Good luck.

ironically enough she just texted me telling me that she was sorry and that she thought she made it clear that it was a "break UP" insteda of just a BREAK.... blah blah blah... idk man. i still love her... i think its a pride issue i have going on now too... but shes telling me she would give him up to go back out with me blah blah blah... so idk

i just got an email from my dad about the insurance because he called for me cuz im at work (IT Tech Support - on the phones) so I couldnt call... the dudes insurance agent was a jerk, but my dad took care of it for me... haha i knew there was a reason to keep him around LMAO jk... but we are going to the autobody tonight to get an estimate and hopefully ill have my car soon!... so much for "rebound clubbing" tonight lol

oh.. my fellow friend.. the stories we have to share with each other

I too am an IT person and have done my time on the phones.. I saved the voicemails of the craziest f**king bitch ever.. i'll have to send you a link later tonight (Dialup Internet tech support)

The ex is probably realizing she made a mistake; but you don't need to go back into that situation, because another guy might show up and after a week she think's he's the hottest thing in the world (note: mines still bigger) and pull the same shiat.. better to cut your losses and see the good here - atleast you weren't married and you don't have kids; better to find out now than even further down the road.

Don't let the poon fool you.. it's like a salvage car, it looks great and it's fun to be in but there are dark and unknown mysteries deep inside. BEST AVOID IT!

Cheaters will eventually cheat again. Do you really want to go down this road again? You need to find someone to rebound with !!!! then move on to better things down the road.

Like you said, it's a pride thing now, both with the girl and the car. What you are feeling is the bad side effects of pride. I've tried for years to try not to look at the car next to me and think, just cause the guy next to me is driving a hooptie, I shouldn't look down on him. It's hard to do, and it all comes back to us when we are driving what we think is a hunk of junk for a few weeks cause of an accident like yours. Humility is a virtue. I've felt it a few times in my life, and wish I could make myself drive a piece of crap... think of the money you could save....

Here are the pics..... the guys insurance is paying for a new bumper, etc... he was being a little shaky at first, but i set him straight... the cop was going to issue him a shitload of citations if he didnt make sure his insurance cooperated... by him not getting tickets, that was incentive to make sure my stuff gets TCO...

and then there is me on the way to the bar... just didnt feel good knowing i had a tear in my ass (the car....)

you'll be fine with the A spec kit.
it's only $800 and its simple to install.
just hook up your ride and make her jealous.
( unless the other guy has a nicer car )

this car is a panty droppin chick magnet.
but don't ruin it with those close ups of yourself.

Girls just come and go so I just cum and go.

P.S. Dude the car should get fixed no problem, doesn't look like any structural damage and nothing that would effect the way it drives, if I were you I'd try getting the rear a-spec apron from the insurance and save up for the rest of the kit.
