CPO worth it???

Noob here wondering if a CPO'd car is worth paying a little extra on a used car purchase.

I am hoping/wishing that I will buy a TL-S in the near future and from a few autotrader.com searches it seems that CPO'd cars are a bit more $$$ wise. Ideally I am looking to pick up an 07-08 TL-S with 35-45k miles.

I don't mind doing the maintenance on the car on my own and I'm semi-technically inclined to do some minor fixes if they should arise.

Would you all recommend a CPO or non CPO car?

nomar, i just made that same decision about 2 weeks ago. CPO is definitely worth it and made me feel more comfortable with the purchase overall. make sure you test drive the car and test things that wouldnt be under warranty....wear items like brakes, clutch, etc. other then that. my tl-s has 40k miles on it but i was fine with that since the CPO warranty is awesome.

IMO its worth the extra $$

If you look hard enough, you can find mint cars from private sellers who baby their cars but are selling because they upgraded.
I just purchase an 05 6-speed TL with nav for 13.5K. I had to drive 200 miles to get it, but its worth the 1-month wait and 200 miles drive. I upgraded from a Honda s2000. I owned that convertable for 3-months before my seats were stolen from my own parking lot.

Thanks for the info and the link.

I don't mind having to drive to get a car but I'm kinda iffy about a private sale some hundreds of miles away. Just never have done it before.
