Someone else has done that mod, complete with changing the shifter. As far as letting your family borrow it, do a walkaround with the person before and after.

The fast lane thingies do come off, we have moved them from totaled cars 2 going on 3 times.

as for the toll bags, i use this one http://www.bikebits.us/store.php?CategoryID=6.

it works well to transfer the smarttag from my motorcycle to one of my cars.

and he's a great guy to work with.

tell him axxkicker sent you.

reliable and quick.

I will let them borrow my wife before I let them borrow my car period!

I just hope they do not return the wife

All my family know that and they know how peculiar I am with my stuff and how mad I really get when things go wrong.

I will not even let valet park the car and when they do insist, I make them understand that serious bodily harm will result should anything happen to it

At that point they let me park my car.

Best regards from Montreal, Canada

You don't have to say no. Explain to them the car means a lot to you and do a walk around. Any family would understand that.

THe comment about families and drugs was on target.

I can see two possible outcomes:

1. They laugh their ass off when you claim your AT is converted to MT, when there's still only 2 pedals (I'm assuming they won't simply take your word for it and check). And then continue to laugh as they snatch your key and drive off in your car.

2. They really think it's now an MT simply because the shifter looks like one... and then you becoming disappointed, and then depressed, because you now realize your family is stupid (in terms of cars... )

Try this: repeatedly borrow/use something they value. Continue until they snap. Apologize, and then tell them that's the way you feel about them borrowing your TL (not to mention damaging it).

I'm just joking. Why do they keep on borrowing your car, though? Don't they have their own?

Good point. Say: You have god damn jobs, you make god damn money, get yourself a nice god damn car, and give it to me in exchange for mine which was damaged by your god damn poor driving. I am assuming you would leave out the "god damns" because you seem to be much closer to your family than the average human. Which members of your family ask to borrow it?

I'm serious. If my family constantly asked to borrow my car, and returned it damaged, eventually I would blow up on them(I wouldnt give the car to them in the first place). You gotta stop being so soft. Take back what is yours.

What if after you "Convert to manual" they take a ride with you in your car and they realize that you aren't shifting at all, or hitting a clutch?

lol this is funny... i always drive in ss mode and my family has no knowledge on cars... well most of them.... reason why they borrow my car is cause they want to go to the supermarket and stuff because at the moment we are short on cars my mom car broke down and my cousin car broke down... everyone has their own car though... they both are getting new cars soon though

$102 is not the list price, so not really.

List price is $128.17 20% off is 102.66

Many sites on the internet give you an automatic 20% from their list price.

for example this site is also $102, but list price is incorrect

http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...prddisplay.jsp

If you buy it at an acura dealer, you usually get it at list price, but some acura dealers listed at a higher price like 20% over list and then when you buy it they give it to you at a 10% discount, meaning you actually paid 10% over list price, but you leave all happy until you later find out.
