A couple of quick questions....

On my 06 TL....should the radio keep playing after you shut the key off (until you open the door)? The windows stay active...but not my radio. All other cars I've had with this feature included the radio.

Next, and maybe I'm just an idiot here...but is there a way to mute the damn radio going down the road??? I can't believe there's not a mute button or command!!

1. radio will keep on playing until you remove the key. The windows/sunroof will stay active until you open the door.

2. the big round knob on the left mutes it.

These were my two complaints as well...

As for the response to number 2...
It's handy to have a mute button on the steering wheel, like my other car. Turning the volume down from how loud I have it with the wheel controls, while at a drive-thru window is slow.

And it's nice to unmute it back to the original volume, then to have to manually crank the volume back up. Especially when you didn't pay attention to the volume number it was at. Especially when the song ended while it was muted, such that you have no reference to adjust the volume for several more seconds.

You could always just hit the radio power button...that would save your volume settings and stop your song (if it's a CD).
I hear you though, my s2k has a mute button and I love it, but for all the other amenities they provide on the TL for under $30k I think we can all live without it.

Thanks for the help guys. My radio shuts off as soon as I turn the key completely off...not when I remove the key. I believe this is normal. I guess if I really wanted to be creative, I could switch the power source to the module that controls the delay on the windows. That wouldn't be any big deal.

As to the mute...it should have it. It wouldn't cost 10 cents to have that. Maybe it's just because I'm used to having one is why I miss it. It's no big deal...but I wouldn't mind having it.

Also your bluetooth works while you are on the phone even after you take the key out of the ignition. I was on a call and reached my destination and took my key out of the ignition without even thinking about the fact I was still on the phone (through the car). The call continued in the car until I was finished (5 minutes later).

I think i read somewhere that the hfl bluetooth call will remain active for 30 mins after you pull the key out.

I tap the power button to mute/unmute.
