Corsport Bushings for 07-08 TL-S
Just wanted to let everyone know that if you plan on doing this mod for the 07-08 TL-S, the bushings made for the 04+ do NOT work. I just went through the day speaking with someone at corsport. I'm not happy, but I'm very happy at the help I received. I was told that they would make a bushing to fit the 07-08 TL Type S.

so these are the stock bushings for the 08 tl type s. there is the large one (pictured with all parts) and the small one (not pictured).
on the 07-08, first, the cotter pin (or whatever it's called) is smaller. secondly, the pin that the bushing slides down on is different - instead of it being a round pin, one side is flattened, and thats why the plastic spindle is needed to fit into the bushing so it stays in place. the plastic spindle does not fit in the new bushing... so it seems that there is no bushing for the 07-08 at the current time. corsport said theyd design new ones. I hope this explains it.
also, look at the metal washer. thats what holds the bushing together. do you see how the hole isn't a circle? thats the shape the pin is. the corsport bushing is completely round, so it just spins and doesn't work.

Yeah I guess Ill either try and return mine or sell it. I bought the bushings back in June but have been lazy about installing them since I installed a short shifter. They probably should change there listing from 04+ to 04-06. Thanks for the info.

No problem. I'll keep the thread updated... currently my car is out of commission until I get the plastic spindles for the old bushings (on back order... ugh... hopefully on the 29th)
