the correct way to wash and dry your car? AND GOOD PRODUCTS
Now i have my TL, and an IS 350. But my question is what are the best products and techniques to use to keep them clean?
My TL is white, which is fairly easy to keep up.
But my IS is Black, which this is my first black car.. and it is a pain is the a**.
i've read not to use chamios on the cars to dry, and to only use micro fiber drying cloths. But the problem I have with either of them is on my black car it leaves streak marks all over it. And i constantly have to go back over it mulitple times to get them out. Now I know the basic's like:
1) wash the car from top to bottom.
2) use a micro fiber sponge.
3) I even park the car in the garage to dry it.
4) and the part that I'm not to sure about is the drying. I've always used "Absorber" and it usually does a great job, but like i keep saying on that black car it comes out looking like sh*t when I'm done.

I wash my car with a Lambs Wool mitt. From what I've read, don't wash in a circular motion. Wash in a random motion.
I use two micro fiber terry cloth towels to dry. I never get streaks.
I use the following products:
Car Wash: Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner
Polish: Meguiar's Deep Crystal System Paint Cleaner
Wax: Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax Paste
Between Washes: Meguiar's Quick Detailer
Black cars do require a fair amount of maintenance. But, with the right amount of washing, polishing and waxing, they can stay pretty clean. They'll also look good for a really long time.
Hopefully that helps you with both your cars.
