copy cat, should I do it??

My cousins has the RJ body kit on his 05 TL and the 19"gun metal inspyre. I just bought my 08 2 months earlier and found this site which led me to the RJ body kit, then I found out my cousin had the exact same thing (didn't know before) I want to get that and the RJ black raven for my car but damn, that would be copying him ... But I love the kit so much, what should I do ? or should I just go with the A-spec lip kit instead?

I'd go with the RJ body kit and both of you can cruise sporting the same unique design. I've always like the RJ kits and wheels. Go with what you like. If you both have the same taste, that's cool.

I have the aspec but I like the RJ too! It is up to you, it's your car. Who cares if he has the same thing, it will just make things that much better when you go riding together
Is your cousin on azine? Post pics of the car!!!

choose depending on your preference

performance, or looks. RJ body kit is heavy, and A-spec has been proved to inc down force, though it was marginal.

looking back to all i've been through i'd say grab the RJ kit, get new rims (sorry but Inspyres don't do it for me anymore, and i used to be a huge advocate of them) and nix on performance, it only decreases ride comfort, and the mods aren't big enough gains to justify the loss of comfort.

and yea 2 RJ = very very hot rolling into anywhere, from the senior home where grandma lives to pulling up to a club, GAHHH (imagining 2 WDP's, or 2 NBPs, or 2 AM's just rolling up the front decked out in RJ)

Do the RonJon kit and the wheels. Everyone does the Aspec kit-the RonJon kit stands out more and looks MUCH better, in my opinion. Why look like everyone else's modded TL when you can have twin RonJon kits, which would make for great pictures on Acurazine?

sadly that's the overwhelming consensus on most car forums nowadays. anything that involves a marginal of originality or input aside from the original engineers is laughed at, mocked and flamed. ends up every car looks the same. i mean, how is that different from every riced out civic rocking a fart can. the only difference is you spent more money to look like the 100 other people.

I think i'll just go with the A-spec, less money to spend.

How is the installation on Tein SS, can it be done DIY or must be done by professional ?
