Coolant drain plug Location??

I have been looking for hours for info. I am looking to drain the coolant from the engine block, I have heard their is a plug with a nipple to attach a hose for the drain.
Does anyone know the diameter of the hose to attach to the drain? And also the location of the plug itself. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

It can be hard to find. I know where it is and it still takes me a bit of time to find it. Lots of good info in this thread. There are some pictures at the very end. The picture links in my first post (#38) in the thread are broken so I've included a link to the album below. https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...-076-a-597680/

Link to my pictures of the block drain Engine Block Drain by Adobeman AcuraZine.com The drain is way up in the left front.

I used the same clear tubing I use for brake/clutch bleeds. I think it is 1/4 ID but any decent hardware store will have an array of sizes for pennies a foot. Start a collection Also use the "blue" OEM pre-mixed coolant. It's a bit more than department store stuff but it's preferred by pretty much everyone here. Get it at any Honda/Acura dealer.

A word of caution - At least one member sheared off the drain so consider the benefit vs risk of draining the block. I've done mine OK twice.

Thanks for the info. Just wanted to clear something up. The drain in on the right hand side of the car. And its way easier to access when you have the drive belt, timing belt covers and timing belt removed. Hints installing my timing belt. i was able to attach the clear hose from the top by feeling around for the nipple. This was necessary when i removed my water pump. i had just a few drips come out when i removed the water pump after i drained the block,

Crap! Yes right hand side of car. I meant to say "The drain is way up in the RIGHT front." I get at it from the bottom actually rather than coming over the back side of the engine. It is a reach but it's not as blind.

The service manual, in my mind, shows the drain plug in the wrong place. I found it to be about 8 inches higher. It's in there, on the passenger side of the car. It's the only nipple there. Use a flashlight to find it.

I jacked up the car, put Jack stands underneath, took the passenger wheel off, and on my knees on the ground and bending over, was able to see it. I don't think I saw it when I was on my back

I posted pictures in the coolant drain DIY from the garage section last fall. Took a while to find, but I did manage to locate it and drain.
It's kind of right by the oil filter, unplug the sensor and should be able to access it easier

OK since I messed this up by saying the wrong side originally here's a picture that I hope will help.
Blue circle is the drain. Red outline is the sub frame mount. So if you are looking up through the RIGHT side (passenger side on LHD car) then if you look up past the sub frame mount you should see it

In this picture you can see the sub frame mount again but also the boot on the steering rack. So that should help give more perspective as to how/where to look
