Cool Morning, CAI. Who loves fall weather?

Who else out there loves the onset of fall? When that first real cool morning hits and the car feels so ALIVE!! It was a great drive in this morning and it reminds me why I love my car!!

its a great feeling, though I live a quarter mile from work so I barely get to press the gas pedal.

heh; pointless thread but yeap fall is great.

sometimes it's cool because it sounds like i got FI under the hood; sometimes it causes a bit too much attention.

especially at school

^ The whistle is normal.

As for the fall weather, it hasn't quite hit Southern California yet lol.

There's nothing like taking your car out on a cold morning .. love how hard it pulls.

I'll take the summer months. Granted the nice cool, dense air does nice things for power production, but the onset of cold is not my preference.

Wish I had a CAI. LOL. Thats coming very soon though. Hey OP, are you located in the Huntsville/Decatur area in Alabama? I've seen a couple of NBP TLs around here that looks influenced by AZine.

The sound is nice, but what sucks now is that gas will be switching over to a winter blend, so there goes the MPGs

It is actually quite pleasant. It is not ricey at all. When you get on it, it has a mean growl to it. The biggest problem when you first get a CAI is staying out of the gas because you want to hear the engine! I love laying the pedal to the floor.

I know the feeling, even thou I dont have a CAI, cold air is better for the engine to breath. The car accelrates better and makes your mood and feelings , alot better. Especially on a rough day.

^ true that. cai - brings in colder air from the bottom of the car - colder air through a constant flow equals air that's more dense - u get more oxygen to breathe better, correct

I agree with you all, the car does feel better when the weather is cooler. Im in VA and its starting to change so i can get a good drive in the morning or at night. Yo i think it even looks better with that morning mist on it.

The whistle is low, but you can definitely hear it if you dont have the radio on. It mainly whistles around 2k RPM, but Lol nothing is as annoying as a neon with an exhaust.

LOL..great topic...I've been going into work at 5:15 am ever since 1987....I don't notice anything other than being able to open it up when I'm running a few minutes late and having few drivers in front of me...other than that..cold air is great for all engines as I notice my Jeep Rubicon has more torque when I go off roading in the am and when I'm heading home in a blizzard....but not to get off course...the TL benefits so much from a CAI is a wonder why automakers don't install them as an option...

I love the cooler weather too! Seems like everything from the brakes to the clutch benefit from the colder weather.

How often do CAIs have to be cleaned?

Last edited by SixSpeed07; 10-12-2008 at 07:11 PM. Reason: Question about CAI
