You can either buy the type S rear bumper or you can cut yours and throw on the rear type S aspec

Do you want the type S rear or type S aspec rear?

the type-s and the a-spec are two different looking rear ends, but i wanted to put ATLP quad exhaust on it later, so im saying the type-s rear because i dont think there is a type-s a-spec rear?

wrong, there is a type S aspec rear

There is base rear, base Aspec rear, type S rear and type S Aspec rear

The base and type S bumpers are different and thus each have their own different Aspec piece that you can add on

Hope that makes sense, I know it can be confusing at first

You need to buy a type S front bumper and type S rear bumper and then buy the type S Aspec kit.

Some people have also cut the rear base bumpers to fit the type S aspec rear as a cheaper alternative

This is very true. If you go the route of buying the front and rear bumpers and having them painted right (color match can be a PITA dependant on the color you have) it is going to cost alot. I paid almost $1000 for my rear type-s bumper with buying it, having it painted, and installed. If you just buy the aspec trim piece I think it even comes painted for $200 or less. I dont know about the front bumper, but I am sure the trim piece will save you a ton of money.

For the rear, you should just get the A SPEC type-s body kit and cut your base rear bumper to fit it in. Front bumper you must fully buy a Type-S bumper, get it painted (If it doesn't already come pre-painted), and that should do it.

I am pretty sure they come unpainted like the rear bumper. The pain other than color match ( I have NBP so it was easy ) is finish quailty. Most shops will not paint a car to a factory finsh unless INS is paying or you pay a ton.

I paid almost $500 just to paint the rear bumper and you can see the orange peel is worse than factory paint. Macco paint said $55.
