Considering Adding another CD changer
As a music freak with a zillion CDs, I am considering adding another CD changer in the trunk using the RF modulator. This way I can keep the head unit full of surround DVDs and the trunk unit loaded with CDs and even MP3s.
JVC has a great new unit (CH-X1500RF, $149 on eBay) that holds 12 discs and plays MP3s as well. It has wired and IR controls. I know that the RF modulator won't sound as good as hardwired but it will be sufficient for casual listening and MP3s.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Should it be easy or would I have problems?
Thanks!

Just say no to RF changers!!!!
There should be a plug in the back of our decks which might allow an add on changer????? I'm just not sure how you'd switch back and forth between the changers.. It might be possible, do some checking and good luck.

So far, it doesn't look likely that the stereo has an external changer plug in the back. The tragic irony of the TL's audio system is that it may be "just good enough" stock that it's really not expandable or mod-able.
RF may be the only way to go without substantial (and consequential) re-wiring.

vtechbrain,
I'm just repeating and summarizing what I've learned from the forums. I do not personally know if the head unit is expandable/modable or not.
Just keep that in mind (maybe there's hope)... some crazy dude may find a way to do something new with it.
