Is this considered a butt print?

So on my 2004 TL front passenger side, there're marks resulted from pants/jeans... Do you think the dealer will replace it for free? Thanks.

If your TL is still under warranty, they will replace it. It's a common problem with the '04 parchment and camel interiors.

Be nice about it to your dealer and they should do it post haste.

This is a butt print.
But I won't argue who's got the bigger butt. I had mine surgically removed under warranty.

To answer your question I think it looks like normal wear.

^^^
I disagree on the normal wear piece - specifically, the colour from your pants should not rub off onto the seat, therefore Canon has a case to get the seat replaced.

have you tried to use the leather conditioning wipes to see if the chemicals will remove it?

Thank you all!

Yes, I tried all kinds of stuff to wipe it...but nothing works... It somehow also looks like the scratches from pants? not sure... but it sucks.

They'll need to have a 'Acura regional rep' look at it and see if he'll replace it.

I think you might have a problem because of the stain in the seat.

I can't believe I just said that.....

Solution!

I know this sounds far out, way out there, but have you tried Mr Clean's Magic Eraser? This thing has worked wonders for me with stuff you would'nt believe! Please try and let us know if it worked, pics included of course. Good Luck brother!

I've only had my car for a little over 3 months and i've noticed some marks (discolor). I have ebony interior. Search other threads, tells you how *&^% poor Acura's leather quality is.

I have the parchment color interior as well - almost nine months into ownership - and I do not have any discolor, thankfully.

I do have a few wrinkles where my butt sits which I would consider normal. I haven't owned a car w/ leather yet that hasn't had wrinkles (including a previous 5 series BMW). I would imagine a company would have to equip the seats with hard vinyl to avoid wrinkles.

Not being "smart", but to prove a point, my Coach leather purses even get wrinkles and impressions; and that leather is far better than what I sit my ass on every day. Just a thought...

Good luck w/ your seat; keep us posted!
