Wondered if anyone had seen or liked/disliked the Deep Green Pearl. I have a black on order with camel, but am considering switching to Green/Camel or Green/Parchment due to fact that the black's going to take til December to get here.

I test drove a non-navi TL this past weekend in the deep green pearl. It is a nice color and is definitely different. Depending on the light, it can look quite different ranging from green to grey and black at night. It was slightly overcast when I saw it but I liked it. I just wish they offered different interior colors with it. The second gen TL came in a grey/green with a grey/green interior. I really liked that color combo. Too bad they didn't do that with this model. The TL green pearl is very similar to the green offered on the MDX or at least was close to an MDX I saw at the same dealership.
The TL I drove had the parchment interior and it looked good, just not my favorite. I'm not sure what the camel would look like with the green pearl.

I like to call it Metallic Charcoal Army Green. The metallic flakes can be seen from afar, so I'm not sure why it's labeled as Pearl. As someone has mentioned, depending on lighting and viewing angle, you'll swear it's gray or very dark green. The green tint on the windows goes well with this exterior color, especially when the condition is just right and you can see green in the paint.

>>>>The green looks great. I just do not care for the camel interior. I have put in a request to custom order a dark green pearl with quarts interior. Not holding my breath for an answer though.<<<<<
I couldn't agree more! The Green/Quartz is a perfect combination. Can't wait to see how they wound up handling your request cuz I'm gonna do the same.

I own a deep green pearl with parchment interior. I think it's one of the best color combos. Black/parchment is my fav, but didn't want to deal with the maintenance. The fact that it's a dark green that has a black hue at night and more grayish green than bright green in the sunlight was a selling point for me. The contrast of green with tan has always been a fav of mine.
Note BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Range Rover and Jaguar have always had this color combination

I also love the green, and I'd take it over black any day. Much easier to deal with when it gets a little dirty...like three hours after you wash it!
I don't care for the Camel interior as much...there's just too much going on with the aluminum trim and the black upper dash-steering wheel-door handles. All that black and camel together with the aluminum is too busy for my taste, and I think the camel will lose its appeal, where the Quartz is smooth and fluid throughout the interior.
That may be too much information, but I thought it might help.

If PGreen/quartz were available, I would have ordered it. It is not so I ordered Anthracite/quartz. The Black dash to aluminum to interior color works best with ebony or quartz, IMO.

Deep Green colors always have that conservative class that a luxury car deserves. However, percentage wise green is not that high on people's list for buying cars. So you'll be happy to know that you are one of the few that do own one, but when you go to resell it, not as many people may be interested

I will say I've never liked green cars, they have just been pure fugly. The second Generation TL green was the worst I've seen. But the 3rd generation is off the hook! I love it, it is just gorgeous. Whatever they did, they did it right this time!

If one leases a car, one doesn't have to be concerned with the popularity of a color.
I don't know the stats on exterior colors though I do know that the silver is THE most popular color in the country. The easier maintenance is definitely a selling point for many people.
Anecdotally, I can tell you that I see many dark green cars.

The green will sell.
Besides the black, my favorite is green pearl. I originally thought it was Anthracite, until i saw the sticker. I have seen it several times under different lighting conditions and it is almost looks black at night.
I am not going to be changing my order.

The deep green is one of the TLs best colors. I like the way it changes "personalities" from grey to green depending on the light and the camel is the "richest" looking interior color, so I think they will look great together. I have not seen a green/camel combo though, anyone with pics of either please post.

Just to keep this going. I've owned a DGP since August of 04. I love the color, yes it does appear different in different lighting conditions. BMW just came out with Tasman green that looks a bit similar to DGP.
