I got waylaid at work so I finally went down to the dealer to see the car. It still needs to get detailed. But I noticed that the bumbers look a little darker then the body. This was in the shade of the service center. Sales rep said it was because it wasnt washed. I doubt it.

This forum is like little imp wispering in my ear about all the problem. Probable would have not noticed it if I never found this forum


Its not radically different in colors. So I guess I should decided if I can live with it or turn it down.What do you all think?

 

Do a search...i think it was somebody in the forums who was also experiencing the same thing with his bumper...his dealer repaired it...

do you have WDP? its easy to see the difference on that one.

 

Its SSM. You can tell its a shade darker. I picked up the car anyway. I honestly would have never really noticed it if I didn't read about it before. If it gets fixed great, otherwise I am not going to worry about it.

I still think the car is a good deal. I wasnt willing to go upto a BMW or Merc price with reliability problems.

 

I work next to a Acura dealer and having a number of cars painted over the years noticed the minor point to a vaying degree with all the colors. I think it pretty nit pic but I think it could be fixed without much grief in the manufacturing process. Since I noticed this I look at how well other brand cars/trucks match. It varies so technically it is absolutely possible to make it perfect if Acura thought it was important enough. I'm hoping enough people ask for a fix so they the 05's are better.

 

I just received my WDP TL back from the dealer (Karen Radley) after having the front bumper repainted! Looks great! They sent it to an outside body shop. Now I have to get the clear bra.
