I recently went through hell and back trying to get my dealership to give me the plugs to hide the front license plate mounts. When I finally received them (two months after purchase), the color doesn't match. My TL is Anthracite, but the plugs are a darker color. They're definitely not black, though, and they are metallic and not pearl. But the shade is somewhere between Anthracite and Black, so they obviously don't match any TL color. They don't look bad, but I'm seeing photos on this forum that look like the plugs blend invisibly with the bumper. That looks better.

Bottom line question: Are the Anthracite plugs supposed to exactly match the Anthracite body?

 

I would think they should match. Try a different dealer if you can. I think someone posted a link in the forum on where you could purchase them online. I know its a pain, but it may help you out.

 

They should match perfectly. Here is a link to the front bumper parts list. The plug is item #11, and comes in colors to match the car.

from what i hear from moe lester there are 4 shades of anthracite that was put out for acura.

 

First: I'm not the moe referred to above.

Second: I had the same issue. Tried calling the dealership where I got the car and they said they would send them to me. The plugs never came. I did my A service at another shop and asked about the plugs. The parts guy just gave me a pair. Fit and matched perfectly. So, try being nive to the parts guy - it might help if you buy something else, though you shouldn't have to.
