Cmax Gold Shim Grease

Going to do a brake pad change. I am going to replace the brembos with duralsast cmax gold. Should I use the CRC red grease between the pads and shim or and outside the shims or is the gray CRC synthetic caliper grease there were different opionion from earlier threads.

Thanks

i would think any brake grease would work on the back of the pad itself. i used some from autozone for .99 and no squeal or squeaks for me..

Thumbs up

When I replaced my brakes back in October (with some CMAX Golds) I put the included grease along any contact points EXCEPT the synthetic backing of the pad. That included where the shims touch the pad.

In my case, no squeaks either. And don't skimp on using it- there's plenty of it in the little packet, just make sure you spread it around on those surfaces.
