Clutch Issue

I have a 2004 Acura TL type s 6mt, when the car is running I can put it in any gear with out pressing the clutch in and the car doesn’t move. What could this be.

Yes I agree it sounds like you need a new clutch/flywheel. Mine had the same symptoms and I replaced it myself and its been great since.

Check to make certain the half-shaft isn't broken.
Hopefully the input shaft isn't broken.

Make sure you replace the flywheel at the same time. Rockauto has the best deal on the flywheel and clutch kit. LUK is the OEM supplier.

I thought the type s was only 07-08. Not that makes a difference.

You are correct, the Type-S was only 2007-2008; so what's your point?

The op says he has an 04 6mt type s. But like I said, nothing changes the fact he has clutch issues.

Ahhh, got it. I agree, no such a critter as a 2004 Acura TL Type-S, regardless of transmission type.

There actually is, sort of. The '04/5/6 6MT Sport model was the 'unofficial' Type-S for those years.

Shhh, don't tell anybody; I prefer having a stealth Type-S.
