Climate control...various smells.

Anyone else have this issue?

Sometimes, my climate contol system emits a smell as if someone just blew out a match (like that "sulfur" smell), and other times I get a damp, moldy smell . These smells usually present themselves when the heat is on for 10 minutes or so.

Anyone else have this issue, and if so, how do I resolve it? My car is an '04 WDP, 25,900 trouble free miles.

Thanks guys,
Bucky

Roll down the windows after you fart. This will eliminate the mildew and sulfur smell

Sometimes it just the condensation that stay in the pipe when you stop your car or AC, that can make some mildew or bad smell. You can find a special spray that you can put in the conduct to clean and kill the mildew and over rotten particles.

Gave a friend of mine a ride home once in the summer, he had sandals on.... Neither one of us could figure out what was stinking on the way home...
-- Nothing worse than when you're on recirculate and the heater/ac sucks in the smell of nasty feet.... Thank God it had no lasting effects...

-- Sulfur smell: exaust...
-- Moldy smell: Condensation from the AC sitting in the condenser tray..

Try a new AC/Heater "filter" with activated charcoal.

I got the mildew smell with my Infiniti i35 sport and it ended up needing a replacement cabin filter.
