clearing plates

why do people blank there plates? looking through many peopl clear there plate before posting a picture... might i ask why?

as i didnt.... maybe that was bad?

I guess if you were a real a--hole or something like that, and posted a picture with the plate visible, someone could find out where you live and come and key your car or worse. At least, that's the explanation given whenever someone asks a question like this.

I really don't see the danger of it. If he doesn't know you, but wanted to steal a TL, all he has to do is look around. He wouldn't have to go to the trouble of finding out where you live, unless you had a WDP like me which of course is the most desireable color.

Yah, I noticed that too. I guess the biggest threat is some TL hater.

just wondering... hundreds of people see my plate everyday, and i want them to, as its the florida heart disease plate...

When I post pictures I don't remove my plate number. So many people around you see the plate anyway. I just don't know the harm.
