Clearing headlights question....
Clearing headlights question....
This is for anyone who has cleared their own headlights or took them apart..
Did you have trouble aligning them up again when sealing them back?
The question is because i'm in the process of sealing my headlights back up and the first headlight i did doesn't sit flush like how it was before i opened them up. Also most of the plastic tabs don't go over the plastic lens. Is this normal after opening?

This happened to me, they did not line up for shit and I had all kinds of gaps. Thus I am sending a set to JnC to have them done professionaly. That and JnC helped get me some clear diffusers and I want those in.

OH BOY. I was going to have JnC do mine also, then figured I could do it easily?
Now I am getting nervous again?
I ordered a pair of Angel Eyes and now wonder if they will be a problem?
I read on another thread that they come unglued easily? DARN-IT. WTF.
Sorry. ?

i used a thin wire to hold mines in place just in case, but they are snug between the bezel so it shouldn't be a problem for me.
I wouldn't expect the light to seal. Using a little extra rubber butyl is the way to go, with the heat gun and many vice grips. Keep the edges pinched together until the butyl cools.
Adding to the existing rubber butyl works great in my experience, especially if you ever have to go back into the headlight. Silicone would need to be peeled off again.
If anyone doesn't have all the stuff it takes or doesn't want to source/buy all the stuff, going to JnC is def worth it.
