clear bra the whole car
haha....whatever....wonder if anybody's ever done it? If you were to do this, would you even need to wax the car?
Sorry, it's early Friday morning and I'm a little out of it. This thread is pretty much worthless, but the (stupid) idea popped into my head after reading so many posts about clear bras. Just wondering how people would comment.

This does bring up a valid question in my mind though. The X-pel coating that goes on the headlights is perfectly clear (at least after a few days.) There is a very slight amount of distortion, but not much at all. I wonder then, why a thinner sheet of this kind of film couldn't be put over a car's windshield. That would significantly reduce the likeliness of rock chips, and would eliminate that pitting windshields get after a couple years.

never stops!
I asked this same question to Jeremy of Invisiguard whether anybody have installed this film all over and I remember him saying that they have done these kind of custom jobs in the past. Jeremy can you comment on this if you are read this? Thanks. I also thought why manufacturers would not put these kind of coating?

Truth is of course you can get chips anywhere on the car, but these kits are designed to provide coverage for the frontal impact area that will realistically experience about 95% of the possible paint chipping and sand blasting. You can pay alot more to cover other areas of your car but your return on the dollar really falls off quickly as far as costs versus actual protection is concerned.
That said we often do custom coverage on areas that customers feel they would like extra protection such as rear bumper tops and wheel openings.
