Question Clear Bra ?

I just received a quote for $575 installed (with full bumper). He wants another $50 for the headlight covers.

Of those of you that have done this, how many have opted for the headlight covers. Can you tell if they have been covered or are they pretty clear also?

Thanks!

I've had the covers done. You cannot tell they have been protected. I really didn't want to shell out 300 dollars for a new assembly if it only costs $25 per side. The film is crystal clear. I was told that it has a transmittance of 97% so you only loose 3% of the light. Not quite sure how they tested and at what frequency (light color).

i was thinking of the same thing vtec...maybe if your seriously considering on buying the car after the lease...other factors also come into play like if you drive on the freeay a lot or on roads with a lot of debris....IMO its just being more careful especially when your on the freeway like not staying behind trucks for instance...especially gravel trucks....just my 2 cents

Cool...I'm not thinking about keeping it for even the full lease term (I like new cars too much), so I guess that much dough for 3 years or less of use may not be worth it. In fact $600 is 1/5 of my rim money . As for being careful with the car, I have been working on that...the daily drives down the 5 freeway to work are a little perilous, but I have avoided any major gashes so far

My car is leased and am considering purchasing the car at the end of the term, but I have the clear bra installed and I love it. Bugs and road grims just fall off when washed. When I got my TL in FL, the dealer told me it would cost $350 to add it on, but I got the dealer to pay for it. I guess $$ does vary by region and driving conditions, but thought I would throw my 2 cents in anyway....for what it's worth.
