Clay Residue

Today I clayed both my TL and my wife's RSX. Her RSX had a TON of rail dust or something on it. I've washed it a couple times since we got it and clayed the bugs off the front, but just left these tiny black specks on the rest of the body. Well, today I decided to do the entire car. I really had to work at a good number of areas. After finishing up, a lot of the places I was paying extra attention to had clay residue on the clear coat. Anybody got any remedies? I wash it again after claying, but they remain.

what kind of clay are you using? how much lubrication are using. the clay should glide over the surface pretty smoothly.

if you use the zaino wash solution it should slide over the surface. use bug and tar removal for the bugs.

I'm using Clay Magic clay. And a good amount of lubricant, which I made with Z7 and water. I know I can remove this residue by going over it again with clay, but that require me to pretty much rewash the car. I was hoping you guys had some spot spray suggestions. Z6 works OK, but not great.

Try Mother's clay.

I had the same problem with Meguiars Clay. I do not have the problem using the Mother's Clay with the Mother's lubricant.
