Ciao, TL

A very sad day.
To-morrow will be my last day with my TL 2005.
From Italy to Savannah, Florida.
For much that I know for 3 years I had been the only owner in my country of this car.
It was an honor.
Yes, I'm now the happy owner of an MDX 2008, a much more refined and BETTER car that the TL, but I know that I cannot love this SUV as I loved my TL.
We can love better, but not more than the first time...
Not a perfect car the TL, if it is possible to get at all a perfect one, but the best looking car I ever owned, an a FANTASTIC car, really.

a long, sad goodbye.

thank you Acura.

Savannah, Florida? you meant Savannah, Georgia right? That's one hell of a big change.

Some of you people really need to 'chill out'. If you have nothing constructive to post, then don't. It's really that simple.

If the thread was inappropriate, I would have closed it or deleted it. That much is for sure. It's not for you to decide and judge if anybody cares or not.

I suggest you read the rules for posting in 3G. The rules are in a nice little sticky on the main page.

Any other conversation on this matter, feel free to PM me. The end.

If you don't care, then why take the time to read this and post more than one comment?

Personally, I like reading posts like these...I like how others are as sentimental towards their TL as I am.

I'm still in love with my TL ... well along with other things ... that's why I use wifey's SUV to haul things & keep the TL for myself .... but great choice with MDX as I would have gotten it had it not for the veto from HER 'cuz she thinks MDX is a bit too large to drive around ...

I thought Acura was in USA and Canada only? Do they sell Acuras in Europe?

You are right.
No selling in Europe, only some in the ex soviet area.
But I have a friend in Altamonte Spring in Florida.
3 years ago I was looking for a new car, after the Audi A4, and I got creazy looking at the euro growth, too expensive the german ones.
He sent me the web site of the Acura brand.
It was the first time I learned that there is a car maker with the name of Acura.
In Europe nobody (99%) knows about this brand.
I was looking for a RL 2005. But it was very expensive: smth. like 90.000$. (yes, I'm not joking).
I decided for the TL for the "good" price and the look: with the price of the container iy got 41.000$ + custom clearences (3-4.000 euro).
Than I ordered from Randy the sport package and the Kosey 18" wheels...
In Europe now you can get an RL for 74.000$, and my MDX with the Sport package costed me 75.000$... Plus the wood knob, the wood steering wheels, the cargo tray and cover.
From Germany I ordered the 20" wheels crystal black, from Oxigin.
It was long and annoying, but at the end, I like very much the MDX, but I already miss my TL.

Wow man, talk about conviction to buying a car... I don't know if I would ever want to dole out that much cash up front... getting parts and maintaince must be crazy expensive!

But Kudos to you for being original and one of the only few pplz with an Acura over there!

I usually do the opposite, European Delivery from Germany..easily shaving off 10-15K, and a free vacation, plus a test drive of your car autobahn...hotness..

To the OP, Enjoy the MDX!
