Not mine obviously. Quite the beauty though. WDP with black interior, 50k miles, and 6MT? Very rare... IMO $24k is a bit much. Someone will buy it though.

I wonder if he can provide proof of all his pointless oil changes done at 2,500 mile intervals lol. I don't know why people waste their time, money, and resources doing oil changes at such short intervals.

$24k is indeed a bit much, but at that mileage and condition, it's not too far off from what they usually go for. If a dealer was offering it as certified pre-owned (warranty!) at that price, I'd go for it.

Pretty high miles for that price point. His add says obo, maybe he has a good amount of wiggle room. Mid twenties and above is typical reserved for the extremely low mile Type S's. I suppose it's not a bad starting point though as long as he can get some interested parties.

I noticed that too...and 5K would certainly be a more reasonable interval.

Interesting. Maybe this would sound weird to some people, but I would actually rather have a car that had oil changes spread out more closer to manufacturer recommendations. Because think about it, if its had oil changes every 2.5K for its entire 50,000 miles (which more than likely isnt true), then that car has either been to a dealership or some shity oil change place with other people driving it into and out of bays and onto lifts or whatever, the drain plug is probably close to stripped and been over tighten 30 times. Or if he did them himself the car has been jacked up or driven onto ramps who knows how many times.
Im kinda weird about that kind of stuff and I tend to overthink things, but I just prefer a car thats been tampered with the least. Im by no means implying the car is a bad one because im sure its great and well cared for, but anytime someone puts things like oil changes every 2.5K, then in a different add it says 5K, it just makes a possible buyer curious or concerned.
When I have listed my TL's for sale I simply tell it like it is. I do the oil changes when the DIC says between 10-20% oil life remaining and thats the end of the story.

I agree JT. The drain plug would worry the heck out of me.

I agree about the oil changes. I swap my Redline out at 5k intervals. It gives me a huge safety margin while not appearing too OCD.

I look at it as half as many dry starts after an oil change. Half as many times to have ZDDP "burn off" and potentially damage the cats in the first few hours after a change. Plus half as much stuff to go wrong as you mentioned. I know in the 25 or so oil changes I've done on my TL over its lifetime, once I forgot it had no oil and started it to turn the wheels (I turned them the wrong way) to get to the oil filter. It was only a few seconds but with my memory and enough oil changes I'm probably going to do something stupid again.

Yup, those are great examples and is exactly what I'm talking about.
