Changing Air Cabin Filter. Help!

I'm in the process of changing the air cabin filter of my 04Tl. I've removed all components (glove box, connections, etc.) with no trouble. Im unable to remove the filter unit to replace the filter. There are two clips on the side of the unit that I can't figure out which way to push, pull or bend backwards the two clips that are located on each side of the filter harness. I'm nervous about breaking these plastic clips. What am I doing wrong?

Do a search my friend and type in "replacing filter." I think it is the first thread that pops up and there is a step by step process shown.

I finished mine last weekend and I must of pulled that thing out like 10 times because I couldnt figure out how to put on the black thing on the side, but after looking at it I figured it out.
