Changes for 2005 TL...

First of all does anyone know when the 2005's will be in showrooms? Will there be any significant changes to the 2005 including some of the fixes to ratles and the tranmission?

2004 is a completely redesigned model, I doubt they are redesigning it anytime soon.

http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showt...hlight=2005+TL

This has been discussed numerous times over the past 6 months or so....just type "2005 TL" in the search engine and you should have all the info you will need.

Just rumour so far and nothing confirmed.

I think the most important things to me are the rattles. I hate listening to rattles when i go over potholes and stuff. It just annoys the f*ck out of me

For the current owner of 04TL, I definitely don't like Acura to install any new features or equipement into 05TL...

However, IMO, Acura might have chance to add some tiny features to improve 05TL and push 05TL's sale to the end of 04 or the beginning of 05... I hope I'm wrong with this...

Why do some many people say this ?????

did you know that the 99 TL was a complete redesign ??

Guess what happen to the 2000 TL ......over 500 changes including different intake manifold, DVD navi, 5 speed just to spell a few.

So don't count on that.

Yeah but guess what happened in 2000? DVD Navigation and 5 Speed became more desirable. 2004 is a pretty innovative year for cars, I doubt much will be done to improve upon it in 2005. They had 500 changes because in 2000 a lot more toys and such became expected in cars.

Either way the car was just redesigned, it won't be redesigned again for a couple of years. Even with 500 changes from 99 to 00, that isn't a redesign. Notice they are both still 2nd gen TLs.

I figure the new TL design will be out 2008 becuase of some regulation that only allows cars to be redesigned every 4 years. Am I correct or way off?..

They'll probably integrate the turn signal mirrors on the 2005 along with fixing all the headliner problems and the tire and wheel upgrades and different designs. Nothing more drastic than that usually.

If they do the "little stuff" as you mention in the above paragraph, plus take care of the 2004 TL owners. That would be great ! That's the right thing to do.

In my experience with Jap cars. A complete re-design is every 5 years. So that puts it at 2009'

Makes me want to vomit on myself. Makes the car look like a cheap old persons car.

Wrong. It won't happen. The TL has a much more detailed look on the doors and quarter panels/fenders than the TSX does. There are parking/running lights already built into the fender and quarter panels on the TL, so adding lights to the mirrors would be completely ridiculous looking. The TSX has nothing going on on the side portions of the vehicle, that's why the mirror lights help with the look of the car, and with the functionality.

I'd like to see Acura make the lights blink on the TL next year, and I'd then like to have my dealer make that improvement to my '04 if its not too costly to do it.

2005 rumor

SMAK01- IN RESPONSE to the 2005 MODEL TL,
I DONT KNOW WHEN IT WILL COME OUT BUT I AM THINKING THE EARLIEST WILL BE IN NOV. 04 IF THEY DO.
THE RUMOR IS THAT THE NEW 2005 TL WILL HAVE THE SAME AWD SYSTEM AS THE NEW ACURA RL.
AUTOSPIES.COM HAS TALKED ABOUT THIS.
I AM WAITING FOR AN AWD TL, I LIKE THE CAR BUT HOPE PAINT ISSUES ETC. ARE ADDRESSED IN THE NEW 05 TL.
HOPE THIS HELPS.

You didn't get what I was trying to say.

The car was fully redesign from 98 ----> 99 just like 03 to 04, actually it was truly redesign, because it didn't have anything from the old gen except for similar looks.

The 500 changes including DVD, 5 speed, was after the complete redesign...get it??? from 99 to 00. So all does changes happen after the first year.....so what makes you think it won't happen again.

I have a very good feeling that if they do not bring the CL back, they will add AWD to the TL as an option.
