I like everything about the new 07 tls that I purchased last week, but I do not like the red interior lights at all. Did anyone have ever thought or already changed the red light to blue or any other color? I am thinking about changing it to blue, so please advise.

Most of the red light is by individual surface mount LEDs. You'd have to dissassemble your cluster, radio, and half your dash, then precisely remove all the offendeing tiny leds and re-solder blue ones in place... Good luck with that.

 

you do have to dissaemble the cluster radio and dash but, most of the lights are replaceable bulbs w/ little blue rubber covers which you could take of very easily, ther are a few that do require re-soldering. The part number for those little bulbs is 35896-SEP-A02, they're like $4. i don't like the red lighting either. that and the color choices of the type-s is why im on the fence on the type-s.

 

I see you finally got your new ride ,....congrat's !......I" wish" there was a manual switch to change the color's!...but I can live with the red!......It'd be cool if there was a flourescent purple , but who want's to see lint & dust anyway!......but , yes they can be changed out !...lot's of work!

 

Thanks guys for the input. I will do more research how to take the dash board apart. In the mean time, I did change all the yellow reading light, door lights(one on the roof in the back) to white, and I like it a lot. I am going to change the fog light to white as well, but I need to take the stock out first to check the spec. for it. Once again, thanks guys. I will also try to post some pix later this week.

Yup, I am glad that I waited for the type s, because I was very close to purchase o6 tl around the same time last year.
