I just bought a used certified 2004 TL. I picked it up late in the day yesterday so the light wasn't so good but the car looked beautifully cleaned up. This morning I noticed a small ding in the windshield all the way over on the right side in the lower corner. It seems shallow and, visually at least, not likely to spread. Should that be there on a certified vehicle and should it have been fixed by them? Also, there were a few tiny chips in the paint on the hood? Should those have been fixed. Otherwise, the car seems really good and it's great to drive.

 

Get the ding in the windshield fixed if you can get them to...the paint chips are considered normal wear-n-tear but you can definitely try getting them to use touch up paint to make it less noticeable

If that doesn't work, check your auto policy for glass replacement. My Allstate policy in AZ has zero deductible for glass.
