Center amrest mod?

Has anyone modded their center armrest to make it longer (insert jokes)?
I find that if it was longer it would be more comfortable recasting my arm on there while holding the stick.
Wow this thread is ripe for jokes.
I've already replaced the "foam" inside. Twice. I hope to never have to do that again.

Looking at the part on the link below, if one were to attempt it (modifying), it would be a 'through and through' custom job because you'd have to create a new arm console and underlying support base, shown in #11?

I know. Then you have to consider losing the cup holder too. Maybe.

Sounds like a cool 'break your cherry' DIY for AcuraZine.

Not trying to be ignorant but you do know the armrest slides forward right? I do understand where you're coming from however. Compared to the huge center consoles of pickups, this little armrest is positioned too far back

Yes, I know it slides forward but I'd like it to basically cover the whole cup holder area. Lol

I'm relatively average in height at 5' 8" and I've found if I leave the console armrest all of the way back the most comfortable position for my forearm and had is to let the elbow rest on the cushion and the hand to rest on the parking brake lever.

FWIW, most manufacturers recommend you keep your hand off the stick shift lever when not actually shifting; resting it on the shift lever can lead to internal wear in the tranny.

I don't necessarily need to have my hand on the stick but even just resting my arm there, the arm rest isn't forward enough. My 2013 Camry is the same, my 2003 accord was better, it came forward a few more inches.
Thats all I'd like, is a few more inches....

You know there is a procedure, at the expense of slight instability, involving the division of a suspensory ligament attached to the symphysis pubis, that will yield an average .5 of an inch....

What? The IP ligament suspends the oopharosalpingo tissues and connects to the medial side of the iliac crest.

At a certain age ED can become an issue. There are procedures to have a rod installed, or an inflatable with the balloon in the scrotum. Its still pretty archaic.

You are referring to 'implants' to facilitate a rigid state, which I agree is '...pretty archaic...' and savage to witness for the non-professional.

I'm referring to 'augmentation' to get that extra length Joecop67 is looking for. He appears reasonable though, and I doubt he would even consider such an extreme reserved for Body dysmorphic 'ultra' narcissists like Justin Jedlica or Rodrigo Alves.

Oh, penile suspensory!

Havent heard of this procedure yet. Do you know how often it's recommended?

Best to just be happy with what you got. Modifications lower the reliability.
