For cell phone gadget/geeks

I originally had a Motorola T721. Shortly after I got my TL, I bought a Siemens S56 (bluetooth enabled) and put the SIM card from the Mot phone into the Simenes phone.

I wish I can just keep the S56 in the car and use T721 when I am out of the car. Is there any way I can use both phone such as way under the same phone number? Would AT&T allow this?

Thanks.

If it bothers you that much you can just switch the SIM card...it only takes a couple seconds.

True, but I thought it would be nice to use on in the car and one in my pocket when I get out of my car.

So you pay 35K+ for a TL and can't afford a 500$ phone??

Thank you, adam209. I find that some people in this forum are just down right rude.

No, using 2 different phones with the same SIM card is impossible on GSM networks. The computers (HLR) that switch the calls are programmed to delete the information on duplicate SIMs to prevent cloning. All you can do is switch the SIM around, luckily GSM lets you do this because none of the other providers have this option.

I've worked for Cingular going on 8 years now

Novice, I see we've moved off topic and into the realm of flames which I find surprising considering the response was intended to enlighten and not injure.

NOX and digital, thanks for the compliment of youth however it is hardly warranted in my case.
