Cargo nets

Was I supposed to get cargo nets with this thing? I see you guys talk about them occaisonally, but I do not have them. I did not see them on the option list, so I checked the brochure. It mentions a cargo net as standard equip. What gives? Did my dealer lose it?

Thanks - I decided to look more closely. They were where they were supposed to be; in the spare tire.

It hooks from the driver's side to passenger's side near the trunk edge. ( I think)

The manual mentions that they can be installed in various ways (primarily the larger one since the small one can just move side to side). Thus, you can use it as a tie down across the trunk bottom; use it as a full net by attaching it to the speaker deck and then to the floor by the bumper; as a small net basket to hold items from moving by attaching both ends to the hooks by the taillights and then attaching the middle loops to the floor by the bumper; etc.; etc. I am sure that there are other methods, too.

Where in the 5.000 manuals are the instructions located?

The detail is not very good, but it is located in the section on carrying cargo (look up cargo in index). I thought it was around page 172 or so.

I thought I had just one as well, but found the second one when I had another look in the spare tire.

how to attach

Luckily it is the same as my Accord so hookup for me was simple.

Look around in the trunk and you see a series of black knobs with 3 divots in the edge. There are knobs on the sides, the floor, and by the tailgate.

Take the big net, and you can hold it up to find the "V" pattern. Two of the top hooks go onto the knob behind the speaker that point downwards, just stretch the elastic around them and wedge it into the 2 divots and it will hold.

Then take the two lower loops, that are in the bottom of the "V" and wrap those around the 2 knobs on the floor of the trunk.

Then take the 2 loops on the other top of the "V" and they go on the knobs behind the tail lights..

this is just one configuration, it provides a holding net for "stuff" and it kinda divides up the trunk to stop some shifting.

Enjoy.
