Carbon/matte wrap rear

Hey guys, i need your help here, i wanna wrap the plastic around the liscence plate! Carbon like or matte black but without hiding the back up lights! How do you do it ? I didnt find any DIY and i looked for it really!

I must be noob but which/what kind of wrap/what material ? Why heat ? Exacto wont scratch the platix ?

3m carbon fiber vinyl. lay the vinyl over the section, heat it so it holds into the grooves then cut the excess vinyl with a exacto knife. Just google vinyl wrap application and observe the techniques used.

I did mine recently and I took out the entire plate holder assembly and unscrewed the silver trim piece to make wrapping it easier. There's 4 8mm (i think) nuts holding the tag assembly in, and some clips, and then 3 screws holding the silver trim on. Not difficult to remove, and makes wrapping it a much easier affair.

I used VVinyl wrap in black brushed steel. It looks pretty good, but after using this and 3M vinyl, 3M is MUCH easier to work with.
