Try this Megs No 2 or this 3M Perfect or Scratch X.

how deep are the scratches? can you feel them with your finger nail? if you can then those products probably will not work for you. fixing a scratch all depends on how deep the scratch is. if its light scratches than scratch-x will be able to conceal(not remove) the scratch. in order to actually remove the scratches you will need something with a little more polishing action like Meguiars #83(DACP). this might dull you paint very slightly so you will have to polish back with a finer polish like a Menzerna Final Polish. the scratch-x product is nice for little scratches here and there but for me i like to remove the scratches and not just hide them as they will comes back when the product wears out. i would start with a light polishing product to see if i can work the scratch out. use this chart to get a general idea of how agressive different products are.

the higher the number the more agressive the cutting power is. i have to warn that when using products like Meguiars #83 to be very careful as you can dull the surface too much and actually polish away the clear coat. if you are not comfortable with performing this then take it to a body/detail shop and they should be able to help you.

Louis: Welcome to Acurazine. I'm sure you will find lots of interesting information here and some new friends as well.

What color is the Avalon? How deep are the scratches?

You can find more detailed information on the Wash & Wax section (where this thread really belongs).

Enjoy!
