Car Scents/Fresheners

So I've tried quite a few things over the years, but I'm looking to try something else for a car freshener/scent. What has everyone tried & liked or disliked? I've never tried Leatherique, but it's more for seat conditioning than scent. Could be good though. I hear it smells pretty darn good though! I hear Zaino Z10 smells good, but also a leather product. Looking for that new car-ish smell or a nice leather smell that luxury cars have.

Chemical Guys - New Car Scent
Some say it smells good and kinda close, but sorta plastic-new smelling...whatever that means. I mean the "new car smell" that you get from a new car isn't exactly a smell you want to be taking in unless you like VOC's lol. harmful stuff right there

Chemical Guys - Leather Scent (might be trying this one or leatherique)
I hear this is also really good and smells like that nice leather smell...which actually isn't the leather, but the fats/tanning thats used in the leather process. Geez....that's 2 things you might not have known before this post!! You're welcome

LTT - Leather Essence
Just found a review for this on here...but figured I'd toss it in the mix

Zaino - Z10
Leatherique
Poorboy's - Leather Stuff

Here's a good thread to read:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=peach

I did have a the Squash White Peach and it's a very pleasant scent and last a long time, if you don't completely open it.

^^ I heard these will last longer if you keep them in the plastic wrap and just cut the bottom off or some holes in it.

I use a spray called Ozium

Smells really bad when you spray it. What I tend to do at the end of the day when I get home is spray it all in the car before I leave, then come back the next morning to a very nice clean scent. NOT for everyone though. Surprised me very much and goes well with little trees black ice and morning fresh combined. Great compliments

Word. A couple of my friends use this. Apparently, it's a very "potent" air freshener; can get rid of the smell of Mary J in seconds.

^ +1 and they come in a few different scents now....I always have mine handy in my drivers side door. That spray actually kills the smell as opposed to some other brands that cover it up. You're not supposed to be in the car when you spray it though....just give it a quick spray and let it air out for a few seconds....really works well in the winter time too when you get that mildew smell

The yankee leather candle freshener smells super good too but does not last long....

I use Yankee Candle Car Jar Ultimate.

I'm using the leather scent and it is pure awesome.
I get compliments from people.

I just bought another leather scent and new car scent so I can't wait to try the new car scent.

I previously tried Black Ice and it smelled good but it was too strong.

When I used to smoke in my old car (which I don't do in this car) I used to use this. Works wonderful to cover the smell of smoke. Kinda smells like a doctors office I think.

+1 a great alternative to those overpriced air spencer squash scents. A little more citrus smelling though.

Cheap, and last decently long. Squash (that smells more like candy) ftw!

I have this, but I'm done with spray fresheners after it spilled all over the place and makes a stain where ever you spray it.

I don't know if it's just me but those jars have this bitter smell to it that those air spencers don't have. I cringe every time I step into a car and see one of those.

I usually use little trees vanillaroma! But I like to switch out scents during different seasons so I can actually smell them otherwise I get too used to the smell.

I use the Chemical Guys Stripper Scent too.

As long as you don't spray it really close to the carpet it won't stain. It smells great, but it doesn't last at all. My car doesn't stink, I don't eat in it. I don't smoke and it wasn't smoked in either. I love when I freshly clean the interior and clean the leather it has a nice rich leather smell.

I use chemical guys leather cleaner and conditioner as well :/

Oh and in regards to the new car scent from CG's. It's too harsh for my taste, smells like cheap electronics.

Got the Chemical Guys: Leather Scent in today...

Smells pretty damn good from the bottle. It's a subtle, true leather smell. We'll see how it smells when it's applied in the car and I'll report back in a few days with initial smell when you get in the car, how long it lasts, etc.

the previous owner of my car was a woman, I can tell because she put this weird perfume kinda like woman high end perfume that drove me nut, I am trying to find a smell that match because no matter what air freshener you try to put in after awhile the original smell will come back.

Leatherique is a great product for cleaning/conditioning but it smells terrible. Chemical guys leather scent is good stuff. I use it and would recommend it. I just spray it onto the carpet every once in awhile. Hope this helps.
