OP, I would keep looking. It's easy to understand the seller's high price if he seemingly loves the car so much, but there are much better deals out there.

No kidding. I've known all sorts of females to ignore bad noises or lights on their dash for extended periods of time. I don't think they have much mechanical empathy. I can see why you wouldn't want a car driven by a teenager or a guy in his early twenties, but past that I'd rather have a male owner car any day.
