Car gear shifting not smooth, could it be TPS?
2006 TL... owning the car for 14 years. Starting couple of years ago, I noticed that the car jerked when i accelerated pass 2000 rpm, and only jerked at that point.
This problem persisted but since it was so minor I was not bothered.
Now I have a maybe related problem: when the car is running on highway and I moved my foot from the gas pedal, I could feel the car decelerated. When I pushed the gas pedal I can feel the car got pushed ahead. It is not smooth like before.
Is it normal? If not, what could be a problem? No codes: No CEL.
Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming you have an automatic, yes?
Have you changed fluid or sensors?
Have you checked the trans fluid level?
Have you done a "reset?"

Hi Guys, thanks for responding.
Yes, it is automatic, and my trans fluid is ok. clear and at higher end of the dipstick.
Not sure about the "reset" though, just not sure how to do it. Maybe disconnect the battery?
The APP cable should also be ok, as there is no lag between i step on the gas pedal and the car accelerates. I don't know much of the car, therefore ready to be educated.
Thanks again.

How many miles?
Ever change the pressure switches?
Reset: Written up somewhere around here but basically:
Key in off position.
Depress gas pedal to floor. Hold.
Turn key to ON for two seconds. Not start.
Turn key off.
Release gas pedal.
Remove key.
You should hear a two clicks from trans area. Reset complete.
