Car Detail?

Hi guys, wondering how many guys detail thier car at the dealership?

if you don't go to the dealership to detail and live in the NoVa area, do you recommend any shop around here for detailing?

I try to do it once a year just to keep my leather in good conidtion etc but just seeing if there were any other places with better service/price.

thanks!

dealer overhead is insane and they charge accordingly
Look in the phone book and visit local tuner shops- custom shops
They will know a place or mobile unit that will fix you up right, because its their only business-detailing.

Not some 8$ hour guy who shines up cars at the dealer after running them thru their wash

Most of us wont let the dealer WASH the car- let alone.....

Please do not take your car to the dealership for a detail unless you have done your homework first. I detail my own cars with a UDM. I know of a detailer in the Merrifield area that has been detailing for a long time. I'll try to find his number if you want.

Dealer Detailing is no good IMO.

1. My dealershop uses one of those old school soft cloth car washes, scratches shit up to none other.
2. I've had multiple scratches after there car washes :X

DO NOT detail your car at a "stealership." A friend of mine, who used to work at a dealership ( Mercedes ), used to tell me that sometime's if they felt lazy, they would just quickly wipe on and wipe off a single coat of wax. Then you get the bill for $300 for a "detailed" job.
