Car Covers

Ok so I'm tired of waking up every morning and seeing my TL with a new paint job of yellow pollen. No I don't have a garage but I do have a driveway with a huge tree next to it that just keeps dumping pollen all over my nicely polished AM. It's costs me 15 bucks just to leave my house cause there's no way I'm driving a yellow TL. So I'm asking you guys if anyone has suggestions of a good car cover. I don't want a cheap one thats going to let in moisture in so if anyone uses or can suggest a good one let me know.

Just a warning .. polen is very abrasive and if you have any on the car when you put the cover on its going to mar. Same with using a QD or California duster to remove it.

I use one from Target store, reg price about 35? it was on clearance 20
Has water resistant finish and special vents with raised covers in 3 places to allow moisture to escape during rain or if you put it on a wet car

wipe down car if needed before install
any Micro scratching will be less than what happens going thru a car wash- so you buff the car now and then -thats part of owning a nice ride

I bought a cover for the lotus from Auto Anything.

They have a great selection. Just like the other members said, the car should be clean when you cover it. So it may be more trouble then its worth.

the real fun is when you use synthetic car wax- which is extra slippery

Try to put the cover on by yourself and it keeps sliding off the car~

Ebay has an OEM one for $200 dollars shipped. It has a cable lock and an acura and TL logo. It seems like a lot of $$, but would like it cause I'm getting the pollen attack as well...ugh.

Car covers are not the best idea if you hate swirls and scratches in your paint. Pollen is very abrasive and any wind will cause the cover to move slightly rubbing any dirt under the cover into the paint causing marring. IMO take a look at getting an open tent that you can park under.

I maintain my target cheapie has a liner to prevent scratching and while difficult to do alone after a wax job- its not that bad when you have a system to unroll and store-
then put on roof and open back up
Dont use mine all the time- or much- but if the cats or birds are active, or ziner show the next morning--cover it is!
