This car can be fragile

I was driving in busy Chicago late night traffic on a local road. The guy in front of me takes an abrupt stop and I tap his car from behind. His car just scratches and his plate got bent. My poor TL's bumper got damaged in multiple places, even ripped, the hood is bent, the grill is bent, the headlight broke inside and the fender got pushed back. Its possible these parts are designed to do this to brace the impact, it was a little surprising at first. Sucks what happened to the car, my first accident ever, hope my baby gets fixed up real soon. Still love the car!

i think are designed to do that for safty most pics you see of severe frontal damage on a tl the front is smashed to hell but the cabin looks intact. time for rj kit maybe and a custom grill!

Sorry to hear about your accident, but as RJANACONDA stated, it's definitely a legit reason to go Ron Jon.

Good luck with the repairs!

If memory serves me correctly, don't you have the RJ kit on your car already unless it was another AM I was thinking of?

He already has the RJ kit on the car.

That sucks...sorry to hear. Will insurance cover the aftermarket parts?

I think you're right. He is the one with the rockblocker film on his headlights.

I bet that the guy you hit has more damage than you saw...

I got hit from behind in two of my cars... both times the back looked like nothing had happened... both times there was a bend at the wheel well behind the tire...

Both times all the bumper hardware was bent in taking the force of the hit...

So, if this guy does not see the fold in his wheel well and does not take it into a shop... you are probably OK... if he takes it into a shop, expect to have the rear bumper replaced at a minimum..

Sorry to hear about your car.. it is a shame when these things happen..

that really sucks since you had the kit i would imagine that insurace would be more willing to cover a aftermarket body mod as to say aftermarket stero that got stolen and you cant prove it was actually in there

Sorry to hear that. If I remember correctly your car has the Devotions and RonJon bodykit, smoked tail lights..... I would hate to see that all crashed. Hopefully everything gets back to normal.....

Yup, I have the Ronjon kit, I'll have to get a new one. At least now I can get the lower grills painted black for the complete smoked look, maybe I'll clear the headlights instead of putting film back on, we'll see!
