You always hate to hear or see a TL in an accident. Glad your okay. That's the important part. These TL's are really safe cars. If it's totalled, are you getting another TL? If it's not, I hope the repairs go well.

yeah, roads were bad in CT yesterday. I parked my TL and took the husband's truck last night. I took the TL this morning and regreted it as soon as I got down my driveway. I live in the woods so the roads are always worse out my way.
Glad to hear you are ok though, when you get a minute update us on the status of the car. I hope it's not totaled...

Hey guys thanks alot for your concerns. I am fine but I think my TL might be totaled .....But I am waiting on the insurance company to response and let me know. If the vehicle is totaled I def want to get back in a TL its my favorite car and I don't like any other car more than it now. So I'll keep you posted on what happens but I put up some pics of the accident.

Try and get it pushed to be totaled. It helps to have a friend at a bodyshop so when the claims adjuster comes, the bodyshop guy can talk to them and make them raise the price of repairs. And yes the bodyshop will know the adjuster because they are all local, they are contracted out

Damn that's rough. I agree with greco you should try and have it totalled. Even if they fix everything its never going to be the same again. And its going to be a bitch to sell it with an accident on the carfax. It's better to put this one to sleep and move on to another, imo. but good luck.

Hey, just saw the pics, glad you are okay!! To me the TL does look totaled but that is just my opinion. I'm real sorry about your car, the snow here in CT has been crazy lately. I know I have talked to you a few times on here so hit me up if there is anything I can help you with! Us CT people stick together

I'm suprised that rim sheared like that.. from the look of it I don't think it's totaled but it's going to be expensive.. New fender, windshield, airbags, lower arm assembly, driveshaft and possibly hub bearings, wheel, tire, bumper, headlight assembly (and that just from the pics posted).. at least you're okay.. I feel sick to see that ABP like that.. :vomit:

it probably will since the damage looks like it exceeds 15 thousand dollars, which would be more than or close to 75% of the car's value.

What matters is that you walked away unharmed.

Can I ask what tires were on the car ?

Ouch..Right now I'm very grateful to be in Southern California, and I thought the rain we were getting was bad...

Glad you're okay though, at the end of the day that's what matters.

Thanks, everybody for your concerns....I really feel like the Acura community is on my side which is a great feeling. I really don't know what shattered the rim like that I guess the Impact was on it. I also am ok the reason I want the car to be totaled is that the transmision hit the floor and when the tow truck was putting it on the lift they were scraping the car on the floor which infuriated me but that the only way they could get it on the lift fast to get traffic moving. If the vehicle is totaled what is the best way to get the maximum amount for it because my car was in mint condition with no problems what so ever. It was a 04 TL with 60k non navi but very clean! How much do you guys think I will get if its totaled......Btw my insurance is Geico if that helps lol. Also, how much can a get a type s for now a days?

^ eww.. ouch.. I think the market value is still high so you'll probably get around $16k for it (in Aug '08 it was $18.9k). Not enough to get you a Type-S but enough to get another 04-05 3G TL and some change, maybe even a 100k mile CPO.. another ABP?
