damn! Is there really 2 more fwhp with the AEM? and if so can you really feel it. How much more $ is it going to be?

do you have pics of the "black Injen" is it the hoses your talking about or the acutal intake. I saw their new black hosing on their site holy krap
:wow: it looks sweet.

AEM and Injen should dyno very similar same, sound should also be the same (unless they made some drastic changes from the 02-03 version of the intake)... the only intake that will get slightly more power is the Icebox, but there's no application for the new TL yet.

Personally I went with the Injen. Only reason was that the blue matched my car better

Accd to JimtheGreek (soon to be former TL owner), the AEM is noticeably more powerful....I however, have never been a big fan of the noise produced by AEM CAIs.

My black injen is completely black and it looks really nice. I took all that plastic cladding off of my engine to reveal some of the actual working parts, so the big black pipe looks nice and exposed. Gallery is down, but I will post pics there when it comes back.

I read that Jimmy the Greek dynoed the AEM and Injen and the AEM produced I believe 2 more hp. I also read that the Injen was louder than the AEM, maybe I'm mistaken.

I really dont want it to be too loud, but I dont want to wait a month either, sorry this modding disease will be the death of me. I'm 31 and I feel like the biggest brat when it comes to modding and finding stuff..yada yada...

31, damn you're old (sorry, I've gotta take advantage of being able to say that while I still can)...anyway, the Injen is not louder. In fact, the AEM has the reputation of being a bit lounder throughout acceleration as opposed to the Injen only really growling when you push the engine a bit. The Injen is all but silent during normal driving, but when I'm hopping on the freeway or passing cars on surface street, damn it sounds good. Also, the AEM will likely be $50-100 more than the Injen.

Not really worried about intake being loud. I mean, the Acura is so quiet, sometimes I can't even tell it's running. Of course, maybe if I turned down the stereo I could hear the engine. ... Nah!

Hey guys, yes the AEM dyno's in at a little over 2 more HP to the wheels, and has a more unique sound to it opposed to the Injen. Since im selling my car, the AEM intake will be up for sale. Im selling the car with the INjen intake on it.

2hp is what I thought I read.. ok so in your opinion which one sounds better then, I'm leaning towards the Injen... 50-100$ more for 2hp aint gonna cut it.

Would it be possible for someone to organize a group buy for the AEM intakes?

FYI...group buys are pretty worthless for the most part. For instance, JimtheGreek was nice enough to get a group buy together, but I was still able to get one on my own for cheaper. Just find the right spots to go to either online or around your area. I may be off base here, but I am speaking from my experiences.

Woohoo. Count me in. Vinarnold, if Uni Chip has a location close to the SF Bay Area, I'm willing to volunteer my car.
