Just took delivery yesterday on an 04 TL Anthracite/Ebony/5AT. Love it so far, and it seems a worthy successor to the 330i I traded!

I'm having one strange problem I was hoping someone had run into before. Neither of the supplied remote transmitters will open the trunk when the appropriate button is pressed. The Trunk Main switch in the glovebox is ON so that I can use the interior trunk release button. The LED on both remotes does not illuminate when I press the trunk release button. The lock/unlock functions via remote work fine and light the LED as normal. Anyone else have this problem? Maybe I have defective remotes? Haven't read the full manual yet, but didn't see anything else on how to remotely open the trunk than I've mentioned above. Thanks!

you have to hold the trunk button down for a couple of seconds

You have to press the button twice to open the trunk. Try it.

Thanks for the quick replies!! Holding it down for a few seconds worked. Guess I wasn't pressing it long enough and assumed something was wrong when the LED on the remote didn't light. Appreciate the help!
