I changed mine to Philips Premiums last year. I suggest using a pair of rather thin and soft leather gloves. They'll help you gain purchase on the lamp's base so that you can rotate it for removal.

Since the bulb-base is L-shaped, I plugged the harness in, and used the harness for leverage.

you have to unplug the harness,it has a lock on it if it is still plugged in

You sure about that? I removed mine with the harness still on it. Though it will be a pain to remove the bulb from the harness with the bulb loose.

I just put the harness on halfway, so I could use it for leverage to remove the bulb. That way I could remove the bulb without any effort, and still be able to remove the bulb from the harness without effort as well.
